Counteracting mobbing and discrimination

For the sake of safety, equality, dignity of each member of the Academy community and a work and study environment free from discrimination and any violence, Rector Prof. dr hab. Wojciech Widłak introduced the rules of counteracting mobbing and discrimination at the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Krakow.

The rules of counteracting mobbing and discrimination, together with the guidelines for reporting complaints, can be found in the ordinance available at this link.

An academic teacher is subject to disciplinary liability for acts breaching the duties of an academic teacher or the dignity of the academic teacher profession.

Each member of the academic community is obliged to report mobbing or discrimination to the rector or a person authorized by the rector.

On March 28, 2022, the function of the Academic Trust Commissioner was established. The ordinance is available at this link.

According to the ordinance above, the Academic Trust Commissioner is the first contact person in matters related to mobbing, discrimination and harassment as well as other inappropriate behaviour that may violate the personal dignity of a member of the Academy’s community.

All forms of discrimination, including sexual harassment, should be reported first to the Trust Commissioner, who acts as an intermediary between the reporting person and the Rector.
